Nissan recalls 46,859 Leaf electric cars to fix brakes
Nissan is recalling 46,859 electric cars to fix the brakes. The recall involves the 2013 to 2015 Nissan Leaf electric cars. The Leaf may have brake trouble in extremely cold weather. Nissan told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that the computer in the electronic brake booster needs to be reprogrammed. The brake will work in very cold weather, but it may take a lot more brake effort. Nissan says it previously told owners as part of a service campaign, but now it is upgrading the issue to a full recall. The recall includes 46,859 Leafs in the U.S. and another 679 in Canada from the 2013 through 2015 model years.
